IMEKO announces upcoming World Congresses: Rimini 2027 and Krakow 2030

As 2025 comes to a close, IMEKO looks ahead with major plans for the future. The international organization, a leading authority in the field of metrology, has confirmed the venues for its next World Congresses, following the traditional triennial pattern: Rimini, Italy, will host the event in 2027, while Krakow, Poland, is set to welcome the 2030 edition.

“These Congresses represent a key opportunity to strengthen the bonds within our scientific community and to promote metrology worldwide,” said IMEKO President Paolo Carbone. “Rimini and Krakow will provide unique settings, high-level scientific programs, and international networking opportunities that will enrich both experiences and collaborations.”

Throughout 2025, IMEKO’s Technical Committees coordinated eleven conferences with global participation, consolidating the organization’s role as a scientific reference point. The work of local and international teams ensured not only excellent scientific programs but also social events and excursions that made each gathering an unforgettable experience.

President Carbone also highlighted the importance of engaging the next generation of professionals, noting the inclusion of the first Junior Member in TC2 and the active participation of young scientists in upcoming events.

With Rimini 2027 already on the calendar and Krakow 2030 confirmed, IMEKO reaffirms its global vision, ready to take the international scientific community to new levels of collaboration and innovation.
