Philadelphia – Consul General Nico Frandi was welcomed by Grand Secretary Mark Heines and Deputy Grand Secretary Peter Kraus at the Masonic Temple of Philadelphia (1868–1873), the headquarters of the city’s Grand Lodge and the birthplace of American Freemasonry, founded by iconic figures including George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Marquis de Lafayette, and Voltaire.
The Neo-Gothic temple is renowned for its rich interior, showcasing a remarkable blend of architectural styles, artistic works, and innovative engineering. Among its highlights is the Renaissance Hall, dedicated to Italy and its enduring contributions to Western civilization.
The Grand Lodge currently counts approximately 60,000 members across Pennsylvania.
