London Mayor Sadiq Khan thanks emergency services for their work during the festive season

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has expressed heartfelt thanks to all emergency service personnel for their dedication during the holiday season.
In a message released today, Khan highlighted the crucial role of firefighters, paramedics, police officers, and other professionals who work every day to ensure the safety and well-being of Londoners, even on festive days.

“This year, I’d like to say a special thank you to our incredible emergency services who are working hard to keep Londoners safe today and during the festive period. You are London at its very best,” the mayor said.

Khan extended his gratitude to the men and women on the front lines who, especially during busy days and peak traffic, provide prompt response and public safety in one of Europe’s busiest and most dynamic capitals.

The mayor also reaffirmed the importance of teamwork between city institutions and emergency services to face the capital’s daily challenges, emphasizing that the dedication and cohesion of these personnel are key to ensuring a safe and resilient London for all its residents.
