The International Convention on Public Procurement, organized by ADACI and IFPSM Europe at Roma Eventi – Fontana di Trevi, concluded with great success and strong participation. The event featured high-level discussions on key topics such as competition and SMEs, performance management, automation and artificial intelligence, Green Procurement and ESG, innovation, and governance of contracting authorities.
Notable international speakers included Cai Jin (CFLP, China), Ivo Locatelli (EU), representatives from ISMM Sri Lanka, Kenya, the Council of State, BME Germany, the Court of Auditors, ANAC, Consip, and INPS, who shared their experiences and expertise from their respective countries and institutions.
“The success of the International Convention on Public Procurement,” said Fabrizio Santini, President of ADACI, “is the result of strategic planning that brought together professionals in the field. Just two years after the World Summit Florence 2023, we organized a top-level event with high-quality content and significant international participation, all in an inclusive and collaborative environment”.
Chris Oanda, President of IFPSM, emphasized the event’s full success and expressed support for the creation of an international network of experts to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices in public procurement. The Director of Public Procurement for the Government of Kenya, Eric Korir, is already preparing a proposal for Kenya’s participation.
Mirela Senica, Vice President of IFPSM, added: “The presence of professionals from 17 countries across three continents demonstrates the growing importance of cooperation, knowledge sharing, and innovation in our sector. Rome has become a key starting point for international collaboration in public procurement.”
The event concluded with a shared understanding: professionals working in public procurement, both in the public and private sectors, should continue to follow ADACI and IFPSM initiatives to seize new opportunities and anticipate developments in the field.
